

Australian Photographic Engineering was started by John and Lois Ackfield in 1981 as a technical service company to the Photographic Industry. Initially supplying Tura Photographic paper to the Industry, A.P.E. then acquired the distributorship for Mitsubishi Photographic Paper and Russell Chemistry and has continued to grow to the current day.
Mitsubishi Paper Mills, manufactures sensitised paper for Konica Minolta, Epson, the graphics industry and Mitsubishi Corporation. Its factory is located in Japan and operates 24 hours a day, 364 days per year. Mitsubishi paper is of the highest quality and is comparable to Fiji and Kodak products.
Russell chemistry is one of the largest photographic chemical manufacturers in the world. Growing from Champion Chemistry amalgamating with Russell Chemistry, and further acquisitions. It has factories in the UK, Malaysia and Canada. It boasts one of the cleanest developers in the industry.
In recent years we have increased range of goods to include, Konica chemistry, Kodak paper and chemistry, Fuji paper and chemistry, Hitouch digital printers and consumables, Copal digital printers and consumables Lucidiom Kiosks, Passport Systems, Inkjet paper and canvases and Memory Cards
The Company owns its own warehouse and maintains an efficient workforce who represents our products Australia wide.
